After starting her career in fashion PR and marketing, Kara Fanelli set out to explore her fascination with sports and the human body. She enrolled in Long Island University in Brooklyn, where she graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Kara has been practicing physical therapy with an orthopedic focus for seven years. While working as an outpatient orthopedic therapist in New York, she noticed the pelvic floor to be a huge source of pain under-recognized by the PT community.
After working closely with pre and postnatal patients—and giving birth to two children of her own—Kara’s interest in women’s health and pelvic floor dysfunction grew. She continued her education in this pioneer area and helped launch a pelvic floor program at the practice where she worked.
Kara began working at 5 point after taking a pelvic floor course taught by Stacey. Mat certified in Pilates, she sees the human body from multiple perspectives and embraces a holistic approach to treating pain. Kara loves working one-on-one with patients and helping them move towards relief and rehabilitation.
