If you live or work in the New York Metro Area, and are experiencing pelvic dysfunction or pain, you can make an appointment with us directly–without a doctor’s referral. New York State does require that you have a prescription for Physical Therapy after 10 visits or 30 days. (Note that if you haven’t been to the doctor in a while, we might ask you to see one first to rule a few things out.)
Our care is gentle, and designed to put you at ease. We’ll observe you, explore a range of possible causes, and examine your hips, pelvis, abdomen, spine, and muscles impacting your pelvic girdle.
Taking this information, we build a plan of care together–one that works for the level of your symptoms, your lifestyle, and your budget. Your plan will always deliver the following: a solid framework (with built-in progress points), and a thorough understanding of what’s happening with your body.
Our sessions are comfortable and communicative. Typically, patients begin to see results in 6-12 visits (progress usually depends on the severity and duration of your symptoms, and your own adherence to our plan). Chances are, you will have some homework–from stretching a specific part of your pelvic girdle, to keeping a health journal.
Our patients span both genders, all ages, and a variety of pelvic floor dysfunction symptoms. But 95% of the time, they share one thing: a lack of medical information resulting in a frustrating battle against an unknown culprit, and the maddening resignation to suffer.
Patients that live within the tri-state area can schedule a complementary 15-minute phone consultation with one of our physical therapists. We’ll walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have about your initial visit.
