5 Point Physical Therapy on The Today Show

IT’S LIVE! On May 1st, the Today Show had a segment on pelvic floor physical therapy for post-partum women, which featured 5 Point PT’s very own Stacey Futterman Tauriello and Deena Kimiatek.

Here is Stacey’s reaction to this segment:

Words cannot describe how grateful I am to the producers and editors of the Today Show Online. They couldn’t have nailed this segment any better!  I cried when I saw it.  My career goal for the past 22 years has always been to get the word out about pelvic floor dysfunction and just how available the treatment really is.  Now having experienced it myself as a new mom, and having empathy for all my patients I am grateful to spread the word via social media in a video that just makes sense.   BTW…. I still believe that my daughter LEXI was the star of this segment!

This is for all the patients that trust us with their care every day!  This is for all the students who I have taught through Herman and Wallace for the past 10 years!  This is for all my colleagues who have challenged me, educated me, and been there for me!  You know who you are!

Thanks again, Today Show, for featuring us and bringing awareness to post-partum care.

Stacey, I am so thrilled the Today Show did this segment with you! You are bringing to the forefront what we all (pelvic floor therapists) are trying to do. It is so inspiring and awesome. I have my 18 month old girl and completely relate to your profound love for your daughter in spite of the changes our bodies have endured. And SO much more compassion for our patients… Thank you so much for doing this! Xo , Tara
