Empowerment, active listening, empathy and compassion for an underserved population are the main drivers for Jen’s passion for working in the setting of pelvic health and wellness.
Jennifer Lynch started her career on a brain injury unit at a pediatric rehab hospital before transitioning to outpatient orthopedics and pediatric early intervention. While working with a large sports population, she incorporated her previous neuro background to create a vestibular and concussion program for adults and children. Jen began her passion for pelvic health and wellness when she saw there was a lack of resources for athletes coping with pelvic pain, as well as follow up care for women postpartum. She began to take coursework and was hooked after her first Herman and Wallace course with 5 Point’s own Stacey Futterman as her instructor!
Jen has a personal understanding of chronic pain and received her own orthopedic and pelvic health PT after a traumatic ski injury resulted in multiple back and knee surgeries. She utilized her time recovering by taking extensive coursework through Herman and Wallace for urogynecologic conditions, colorectal conditions, pregnancy care, active labor preparation, postpartum care and has recently completed her Postpartum Exercise Specialist Certification. Once fully recovered, she began working at a pelvic health clinic in South Jersey, treating a variety of diagnoses. Her personal rehab recovery has furthered her empathy and understanding of the toll that injuries and pain can have on a person regarding their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
She utilizes her orthopedic background to combine extensive manual therapy and visceral mobilization, breathwork, pain science, autonomic quieting, stabilization and strengthening techniques so her patients can return to pain-free active lives.
In her free time, she enjoys staying fit with Pilates and dance, paddle boarding with her Portuguese water dogs, meeting up with her book club, boating and traveling with her husband.
